ADVANCEMENT

The leadership of St. Pius V Parish affirmed the decision to formalize the Ministry of Advancement for our parish and school. The ministry of Advancement provides an opportunity to review our relationship with God established through our Baptism. As baptized Catholic Christians, we are stewards of the gifts that God has given us. All of us us, are called upon to use these gifts in fulfillment of our baptismal commitment.

The Living Endowment of the 20th century, namely the priests and religious men and women who staffed and served our parishes, schools, is no longer available to sreve for free as in the past.

This reality demands a new understanding of peoples' faith relationships. Our stewardship calls us to be lifelong caretakers of God's spiritual and earthly blessings. Stewardship is a lifestyle, a lifestyle through which we commit ourselves to our faith community in terms of time, talent, and treasure.

Threrefore, stewardship is not separate from our Christian identity. It is an integral part of that identity. As childen of God, we are also heirs of the kingdom. As heirs, it rests in our hands to assure that God's "kingdom come on earth as it is in Heaven."
